Seamus Wylie

Seamus Wylie has been studying the clarinet for 13 years starting his studies under the tutelage of Conor Shiel. At the age of 12 he joined the Royal Irish Academy of Music to study with John Finucane and has attended there ever since. He has been on musical tours all around the world from Abu Dhabi to the U.S. Seamus has worked with many orchestras such as the RTE Concert Orchestra, the Ulster Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra and has played in the recent productions of La Boheme and The Barber of Seville. He has performed in masterclasses with esteemed artists such as Michael Collins and Jorg Widmann. A multiple prize winner in Clarinet and Chamber Music categories, Seamus recently played the Mozart Clarinet Concerto with the RTE Concert Orchestra as part of his final year concerto exam in April.
