The John Vallery Memorial Prize – 1,000

(sponsored By Mrs Mary Beattie in memory of her late husband John Vallery)

“The John Vallery memorial Prize” will be awarded to the person (in either the Semi-Final or Final), whom in the opinion of the Jury has given ‘the best performance by a string player’ in the 2018 Competition.

The Florian Leonhard Fine Instrument Grant

The loan of a fine instrument from Florian Leonhard in London, for one year,  to a string Finalist to be chosen by the Jury. (Kindly arranged by Mr. Hasso Wontolla)

The Conrad O’Sullivan Memorial Prize

(sponsored by Mrs Geraldine O’Sullivan in memory of her late son)

The Conrad O’Sullivan Memorial Prize will be awarded to the competitor (in either the semi-finals or final) who, in the opinion of the Jury, has given ‘the best performance by a wind or brass player’ in the 2018 Competition

 

Additionally:

A solo engagement during 2020 with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra.

Submission of the recording (at RTÉ Lyric FM’s discretion) of the Winner’s performance, to the European Broadcasting Union New Talent Competition, as RTÉ Lyric FM’s entry in 2020.
